BEIJING, February 10 (TMTPOST) — NFT marketplace nWayPlay announced on social media that the official licensed Beijing Winter Olympic Games mascot Bing Dwen Dwen mystery boxes will start sale at 1:00 am on February 12.
The mystery box collection is named Winter Games Beijing 2022 Epic. A total of 500 Bing Dwen Dwen mystery boxes will be released, with each priced at US$99. Every user can purchase a maximum of five Bing Dwen Dwen mystery boxes.
The mystery boxes are developed by Animoca with authorization from the International Olympic Committee.
Each Epic Box contains 1 Epic and 2 Rare pins. The Epic box includes epic level rarity art including the officially licensed mascot performing a variety of winter sports like skiing, skeleton, snowboarding and more. The drop also features 2 versions of the official emblem and one poster of the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.
Bing Dwen Dwen is the mascot of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games. The mascot has gone viral both in China and overseas, attracting massive fans. The mascot’s physical merchandise has been in supply shortage as fans rush to buy them on e-commerce platforms and brick-and-mortar outlets.
Bing Dwen Dwen is a cute little panda wearing a full-body “shell” made of ice, which appears to resemble a spacesuit.

Besides NFT items related to the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, nWayPlay has also rolled out digital emblems and posters of all Olympic Games since 1926. The most expensive Olympic NFT is the 1988 Seoul Olympics epic poster, selling at US$9,999.
Open information shows that nWayPlay is a decentralized trading platform based on the Flow blockchain. It is developed by blockchain game studio nway, which is owned by Hong Kong-based game software company Animoca Brands.
