Position type: Full time, 1 year temporary position, with the possibility of extension.

Start-up date: 1 August 2022, or earlier.

Main purpose of the job:

Advisor at the Embassy. Analysis of information related to political and economic affairs, reporting, maintenance of relevant networks.

Qualifications which would be of particular relevance:

Previous experience/expertise of analysis of China’s political and economic system, social issues in China, China’s foreign relations.

Ability to analyze media coverage and public documents. Good command of social media use.

Fluent command of written and spoken English is necessary.

Fluent command of written and spoken Scandinavian languages would be a strong asset.

Command of Chinese language would be a strong asset.

Personal qualities:

Intercultural understanding, good communication skills, efficiency, service-mindedness, flexibility and friendly attitude. Candidate must be honest and reliable.

Salary:

To be fixed, dependent on experience and qualifications.

All applicants must have a legal basis to live and work in China, either as Chinese citizen or with a correct visa/work permit in case of non-Chinese applicants.
